DISTRICT 2 CANDIDATE
My name is Billy W. White, Sr., and I am proud to formally announce my candidacy for the Suwannee County Board of County Commissioners, District 2. As a resident of Suwannee County, I have deep roots in this community dating back as far as 1975, and I am committed to protecting our rural heritage while promoting responsible, sustainable growth.
I have decided to run for this position because I believe the citizens of District 2 deserve a voice that is transparent, accessible, and fiscally responsible. I have actually chosen as a campaign slogan, “Suwannee’s Choice For The People’s Voice.” Over the years, I have closely watched and observed the development in Live Oak and throughout Suwannee County, and I honestly believe that my lifetime of experience not only as 20-year military veteran, but also as a business developer, and in administration and private education, will allow me to serve this great county with the highest level of character. In addition, I have 21 years of experience in faith-based pastoral leadership and community development.
As the founder and overseer of a thriving church, I have spent over 2 decades building programs that support families, mentoring emerging leaders, and that promote community engagement. Throughout my career, I have worked to strengthen organizations, empower individuals, and build initiatives that create lasting, positive impact. As a pastor and community developer, I have consistently advocated for people’s voices to be heard. I believe that effective leadership begins with listening. My approach to public service is grounded in integrity, transparency, and a deep respect for the hard-working citizens of Suwannee County.
I was raised with strong values of faith, family, hard work, and community. As a husband to my wife, Juanita (Crawford) White of 49 years (who was a cheerleader and a graduate of Suwanee High School) and father of Billy White, Jr., I understand the challenges facing rural counties like ours. From maintaining safe roads and drainage systems, to protecting farmland and property rights, to keeping taxes affordable for families and seniors; I believe in common-sense leadership rooted in local values.
As a County Commissioner, my priorities include responsible growth, fiscal accountability, support for local businesses, and ensuring county government remains responsive and accessible to the people it serves. I am committed to serving Suwannee County District 2 with fairness, strong leadership, and a servant’s heart.
With decades of leadership experience and a passion for community engagement, I am ready to serve and to work collaboratively to keep Suwannee County strong for generations to come.
I am not running to represent special interests; I am running to represent the people who call Suwannee County home. I look forward to meeting with voters, visiting schools and churches as invited, while listening to your concerns and earning your trust throughout this campaign, and during my term(s) as your District 2 County Commissioner.

DISTRICT 2 CANDIDATE
Cynthia D. Robinson: Faith. Service. Results.
Cynthia D. Robinson is a faith-centered leader, strategic thinker, and lifelong community advocate who has dedicated more than 40 years to serving the citizens of Suwannee County and North Florida.
Known as a builder of momentum, Cynthia combines faith, leadership, and practical strategy to deliver real results. She is more than a visionary—she is an organizer and problem-solver who turns ideas into action. Whether developing initiatives, setting clear goals, or creating strategies that uplift communities, Cynthia is driven by one mission: to improve lives and strengthen the place she calls home.
A Life of Service and Communication
A graduate of Florida A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, Cynthia began her career as a reporter for the Suwannee Democrat. Her commitment to keeping the community informed earned her two Florida Associated Press awards for her coverage during the Gulf War.
Her passion for service extends far beyond journalism.
Cynthia has organized after-school tutoring programs, summer reading camps, and youth mentorship initiatives that have helped hundreds of children succeed academically and grow in confidence. She has also led community outreach efforts providing food, clothing, blankets, supplies, and financial support to families in need during times of crisis.
Her ability to bring people together is evident through events like Gospel in the Park, where hundreds gathered in unity, faith, and fellowship.
Today, Cynthia continues to uplift and inform as a radio personality and manager at 98.7 WMOF and as the founder of B.I.G. Media (Believe In God Media), a Christian radio ministry reaching audiences locally and around the world. Known by many as “The Voice” of the community, her uplifting messages and community updates impact thousands.
She also connects with a growing digital audience through her daily TikTok gospel program, airing Sunday through Friday at 7:10 PM, where she shares music, teaching, and encouragement focused on faith, family, and community.
A Survivor’s Perspective
In 2023, Hurricane Idalia destroyed Cynthia’s home, forcing her and her two children to rebuild their lives from the ground up. Through faith, resilience, and the support of local agencies and community members, she turned tragedy into triumph by rebuilding her home.
This experience gave Cynthia a deeply personal understanding of the challenges families face during disasters. While she is grateful for the support she received, she recognizes that many others were not as fortunate.
That reality fuels her commitment to closing the gap—ensuring every family has access to timely support and a fair opportunity to recover during emergencies.
Cynthia believes in the strength and resilience of Suwannee County and is committed to working collaboratively with county commissioners, emergency personnel, local leaders, and residents to ensure faster and more effective disaster response and recovery.
Working Together for Suwannee County
Cynthia believes leadership begins with listening.
Her campaign, “Cynthia Listens,” reflects her commitment to hearing the concerns of the people and working together to find real, practical solutions. She understands that lasting progress happens when leaders partner with the community—not just speak on its behalf.
If elected as Suwannee County Commissioner for District 2, Cynthia will work side by side with fellow commissioners, community organizations, and residents to build a stronger, more connected county.
Priorities for District 2
Cynthia Robinson is focused on delivering meaningful results:
